2020 seems to be the year for midrange phones! A plethora of affordable yet spec-full, wallet-friendly wave of phones are appearing in the market. As Apple did with their iPhone SE (2020) and Samsung with Galaxy S20 FE (not wanting to be left out).

But what if there was an option to trim down the price even further and taking the spec even higher?

This is where Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC enters the arena!

This review is based on a Factory Unlocked International Version model of the Xiaomi POCO X3 NFC, you may purchase one, with 2 Day Free Shipping and lowest price from here.

The Review:

Although the name is a bit of a tongue-twister, the rest of the phone encapsulates all you need to know regarding Xiaomi as a company. The Poco X3 NFC is a stunner of a phone, with almost flagship standard spec, with a lower budget price. It is a mystery how Xiaomi makes profit on this device with such a low price bracket!

The Poco X3 NFC boasts an impressive & beefy Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G Gaming processor, with 6.67” 120Hz refresh rate on a Gorilla Glass 5 display, a pair of Stereo speakers, quadruple cameras set, headphone jack, and IP53 Rating for dust & water protection makes this device a standout in the crowd amongst the gamers and those looking for a great spec phone on a budget.

The Poco X3 NFC has a very impressive screen, with 6.67” FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2400) and HDR10 support, makes this device an absolute steal at this price point. As it is LCD, the viewing angle & contrast suffers somewhat but that is to be expected of a device for this category.

The main camera in the Poco X3 NFC quad camera setup in this device is the clear winner here. The 64MP Sony IMX682 sensor, which is more desirable than a few competitors, delivers great pictures. The other cameras are 13MP (ultrawide), 2MP (macro), and 2MP (depth) do a decent job during well-lit conditions, however they do not match up during low- light conditions.

As you’d imagine, there are a couple of not so good points. The main one that strikes from a mile away is that big & bold POCO printed across the phone’s rear, which quite frankly does not serve any purpose whatsoever and some people might find that rather annoying. The MIUI 12 on this device lags somewhat and can seem to be a bit clunky at times. There is an element of in-OS ad support which pops up & needs to be cleared before you can proceed. It’s a way to keep the price of the handset low, but it can be really annoying. Another minor issue found is the screen glitch (the backlight being a bit erratic at times) which seems to be a Software issue rather than a Hardware one.

Final Thoughts:

The Poco X3 NFC is an astonishingly good value for money, quite simply, there aren’t any phones that could be compared to, with the spec & the price tag. The strong argument is that the Poco X3 NFC is probably the best budget device ever made.
